hope for all

We are in a hotel room for the second day, hoping for a few things:

relief from the lice that have invaded our family

success at readying our tiny home from the upcoming El Nino winds and rain that are headed our way

the ability to share with our children the hope for recovery in Haiti and the need to support the country as best we can. This, tempered with the desire to continue helping those in need in our back yard.

Some of the things that we are supporting, physically or otherwise:

permits in one hand, hammer in the other We continue to work hard on our new home and with the permits we got this week, the workers have landed and are working hard! While the electricians are at work, however, we are without electricity, so we've got to hit it hard during daylight hours and hope for the best weather we can get. It has been a dry winter, drier than most, for which we are thankful, as it allows for working outside and inside and there is work to be done in each! no easy way to tell it~ We got lice. Lots of them, and I can't bear to tell you who has the most. We are learning quite a bit along the way and thought we'd share, in the true spirit of friendship and no holds barred information generosity.
